Call for expressions of interest: initiative on climate

The Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies seeks expressions of interest from researchers working on the mathematical, physical and economic research challenges linked to climate change in view of the possible opening of one position at Assistant Professor Level (tenure track).

We invite expressions of interest from highly qualified researchers working on  the mathematical, physical and economic research challenges linked to climate change in view of the possible opening of one tenure track position at Assistant Professor Level (‘ricercatore di tipo B’ in the Italian system). The ideal candidates should have either a solid background in mathematics applied to probabilistic theory and modelling of climate change, and/or a solid background in the physics of the Earth system (e.g. in meteorology and/or climatology), and/or a solid background in the computational modelling of the complex interactions between climate change and economic systems (e.g. agent-based models). 

Interested individuals should send their expressions of interest to barbara.torelli@santannapisa.it, including a cover letter motivating their interest in the call (3 pages max), and a CV containing a complete list of publications, research and teaching activities and past and ongoing research projects.

All correspondence and expressions of interest will be kept strictly confidential, and inquiries received before July 31, 2019 will be given the highest priority.
